Week 7 wraps up with a fairly brutal Monday Night Football contest. The winless New York Giants host the 1-4 Minnesota Vikings on ESPN.

The Vikings still have a decent enough defense, but the offense is struggling. Adrian Peterson isn't quite matching last year's crazy pace, and their quarterback situation is a mess. They added Josh Freeman after his release by Tampa Bay, and he is making his first start. It's safe to say the Christian Ponder era may be coming to an end.

The Giants season has been an absolute dumpster fire. Their defense is a mess, Eli Manning is a mess, their run game is abysmal. And now they sit winless and nothing seems destined to improve. The trade deadline is eight days away, so it is entirely possible they unload Hakeem Nicks and start to blow this thing up.

And yet, if the Giants can pull out a win tonight, they would only be three games back of the first place Dallas Cowboys. They would still have a lot of work to do, but the NFC East is bad enough that an 0-6 start does not preclude a potential run at the division title.

For non-Giants or Vikings fans, this game is about gambling and fantasy football. This game is the reason they were both created!
