Week 8 gets underway tonight with Thursday Night Football featuring the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosting the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers have claimed two straight games and seem to be figuring some things out. On the other hand, the Bucs are in a tail-spin, sitting at 0-6, and potentially looking at a mutiny against their coach Greg Schiano. SB Nation's Jon Bois had his own take on Schiano with his latest "Breaking Madden" simulation.
This is a worthwhile matchup for 49ers fans to keep an eye on. The 49ers host the Panthers Week 10 after returning from London and a bye. The 49ers travel to Tampa Bay to face the Bucs in Week 15. We have a pretty good idea of what's up with the Panthers. However, the Bucs are tough to figure. They could very well have a new coach by Week 15, and odds are pretty good they'll have a new coach long before that. Who knows what that means for the 49ers matchup in December.
