NFL Rally at Trafalgar Square features Joe Montana, 49ers players and coaches

The NFL conducted a fan rally at Trafalgar Square Saturday afternoon. We take a look at some of the sights and sounds.

Each year during the build-up to the International Series, the NFL holds a rally at Trafalgar Square. They bring in players, coaches and team legends to help fire everybody up for Sunday's game. As you can see in the pictures above, attendance is usually pretty impressive. And speaking of the pictures, the second picture is definitely my favorite. The jerseys go well with kilts. I wonder if anybody would dare wear a kilt to a game in an American stadium. I think it could work.

Players and coaches don't do a whole lot of game promotion like this in the US, so it gives us a chance to see them let loose and have a good time. When the 49ers made their appearance in 2010, Ricky Jean Francois rolled out his Peanut Butter Jelly dance to London.

This year, Joe Montana told some stories, 49ers players got fired up for the crowd (with Donte Whitner getting a Hitner chant going), and even Jim Harbaugh took part. One person in attendance got some Instagram video of Coach Harbaugh giving a "Who's got it better than us?!" shout.
