Thursday Night Football open thread: Bills vs. Browns

We take a look at Week 5's Thursday Night Football matchup and provide a thread for discussion.

Eric P. Mull-US PRESSWIRE

Week 5 of the 2013 NFL season is upon us and Thursday Night Football brings us the Buffalo Bills visiting the Cleveland Browns. A couple months ago this game was likely viewed as a blah game. After a month of the season however, these two teams are sitting at 2-2.

The Bills are two back of the Patriots in the AFC East, while the Browns are tied with the Bengals and Ravens atop the AFC North. The Bills have surprised folks behind solid enough play from E.J. Manuel, and a solid defense. The Browns dealt away Trent Richardson and had to go to backup Brian Hoyer after Brandon Weeden got hurt, and they have since won two straight games. Who knew?

While this is a matchup of two surprisingly decent teams, the concern remains that Thursday Night Football will not impress us due to the short week. Fingers crossed we get a decent game tonight.
