The San Francisco 49ers continue looking around for ways to improve their team, and Ian Rapoport and Jason LaCanfora are reporting the team is interested in quarterback Josh Freeman and defensive tackle Richard Seymour.
First, Josh Freeman.
Teams with Freeman interest" #Raiders, #49ers, #Bills. Teams unlikely to sign him: #Packers, #Cardinals, #Browns. Talked to about 10 teams

The 49ers signed QB John Skelton earlier this week, so it is not surprising they would continue pursuing any and all options. Personally I would have much preferred the team sign Freeman. I think he was thoroughly beaten down by Greg Schiano, and has considerably more upside than John Skelton. While Colt McCoy has not been needed, it is no surprise the team is on the look for upgrades.
That being said, I think Freeman ends up in a place where he has a chance to start. His only chance to start in San Francisco would be if Colin Kaepernick got hurt. I think he ends up in Oakland, but we'll see how that plays out in the coming days.
Jason LaCanfora is reporting that defensive lineman Richard Seymour is interested in coming back, and the 49ers approached him after Aldon Smith went to rehab. Apparently thought the two sides could not get close financially. It sounds like there is no way the 49ers are going to get him for the veteran minimum, and I can't imagine the 49ers looking to spend a ton in this situation.
