The San Francisco 49ers and Houston Texans released their inactives, and Vernon Davis is ACTIVE, while Patrick Willis is INACTIVE. Both were limited in practice this week, but Willis needs a little more time to get that groin back to 100 percent.
Willis was on the field earlier today working out the ground, but it sounds like he spent more time talking with the trainers than actually doing serious testing of the groin. From media tweets at Candlestick Park, it sounds like Jim Harbaugh eventually joined the discussion, and then Willis went back to the locker room. Here is a picture of Willis talking with trainers on the field earlier.

Vernon Davis is active, as most expected. He strained his hamstring three weeks ago against the Seahawks. He sat out the Colts game, then played against the Rams. He was limited in practice this week, but appears to be good to go. He had a two short receptions last season, but one went for a touchdown. We'll see how involved Davis is against a tough Texans defense.
The other big notable inactive is Nnamdi Asomugha. This means Tramaine Brock will be back out handling the nickel back work. Hopefully he can build on his strong Week 4 performance.
49ers inactives: WR Quinton Patton, WR Chris Harper, QB John Skelton, CB Nnamdi Asomugha, LB Jermaine Cunningham, LB Patrick Willis & G Joe Looney.
Texans inactives: Case Keenum, Lestar Jean, Tim Dobbins, Andrew Gardner, Brandon Brooks, Sam Montgomery, Tim Jamison
