Earlier this morning, 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis sent out the picture below on Instagram. He included the note I've posted a little further down.
Just woke up and one of my old all time favorite tv shows is on Matlock. I can't go back to sleep. When this show goes off, I just want to get up go rehab and train so that I can be one of the best in my profession like Ben Matlock. I know its Different but those of you who knew about Ben Matlock u will get it lol
This is a pretty random fact, but I find it pretty awesome. When I was a kid, I watched a lot of Matlock. It used to be on TBS and WGN all the time, similar to Seinfeld re-runs, or Big Bang Theory re-runs dominate television nowadays.
Although there were plenty of recurring characters, most episodes of Matlock you could watch in one-off fashion, which made it great in syndication.
I'm sure plenty of people have never seen Matlock, but I can tell you this is just one more awesome thing about the 49ers linebacker.
