The Josh Gordon rumor mill has quieted down as this week has worn on, and Cleveland Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski appears intent on ending it. Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot tweeted this out from Chudzinski's press conference:
#Browns Chud re-iterated: "We're not shopping Josh (Gordon) and we have no plans of trading Josh.''

I still think it is entirely possible he is on the market, but I do not think the 49ers will be making a deal for Gordon between now and the October 29 trade deadline. It does make a lot of sense to add an incredibly talent like Gordon. He has looked very solid in action, striking most of us as quite the playmaker.
Of course, the rub is the question of him actually being on the field. He served a suspension this season for using codeine. He claimed it was unknowingly in strep throat medication, but he has enough of a history that flags are raised. He had failed drug tests in college, and he is a slip-up away from a rather lengthy suspension. The talent is undeniable, but is it worth the risk of another suspension?
