Golden Nuggets: Aldon Smith activated

Friday, November 1st, 2013 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith was activated on Thursday ... which I guess is cool. I agree that, from a football and media perspective, this was the absolute best time to activate him. Hopefully, he'll get less media attention and be able to focus on his return -- whenever that may be. I'm not going to weigh in on whether or not he was in rehab for long enough to make a difference because I'm not him.

At any rate, we're in a bye week -- our second straight bye week in a row depending on what your opinion happens to be when it comes to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Links may be in short supply, but we're going to just jump right into them. Enjoy.
