Golden Nuggets: Forget the loss, 49ers' injuries are what matter most from Panthers game

I said yesterday that the San Francisco 49ers should handle their business against the Carolina Panthers. I said I thought the Panthers were a team of questionable quality due to some of the teams they've faced thus far and I stand by that. I think what NaVorro Bowman said is pretty fitting, however.

The 49ers went out there and beat themselves. They completely failed to make any adjustments whatsoever, and gave away the game with an absolutely pathetic second half. The league's worst passing attack really caught up with them. At this point, however, I'm more concerned with the injuries. A loss is whatever. The 49ers will make the playoffs and I'm not worried about that.

I'm more worried about Eric Reid and his probable concussion. He's a rookie, and this will be his second concussion in the NFL. It's a shame that neither have been his fault. I'm more concerned that the one time a helmet-to-helmet play actually occurs in a 49ers game, the referees miss it (Kendall Hunter). I'm concerned that Vernon Davis will miss time and the 49ers' passing attack will suffer even further. Forget this loss, let's just hope the team will recover.
