49ers vs. Saints injury report: Garrett Celek, Ray McDonald, Quinton Patton all sit out practice

The San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints released their first practice participation reports for Week 11, and there are a few names worth discussing. There are no surprises, but they are still notable.

Earlier today, Jim Harbaugh said that Vernon Davis and Eric Reid were cleared for non-contact practice. They made it through the session, listed as limited. The question will now be how they feel tomorrow. This will be a daily process into the weekend.

Quinton Patton was apparently in uniform for the first time since Week 4. Christian Gin tweeted out this picture from the early part of individual work. He did not participate in the full team session, and has already been ruled out for Sunday's game.

Garrett Celek sat out practice as he deals with a hamstring strain. Although Reid and and Davis are dealing with concussions, Celek might be the bigger concern with his hamstring strain. The team could promote Derek Carrier from the practice squad, but we probably wouldn't see that roster move until Friday or Saturday.

Michael Crabtree does not appear on the injury report because he is still not on the 53-man roster. There have been questions about Michael Crabtree's status for Sunday. The media in attendance does not believe he was practicing, but they also do not get to see the full practice session. My guess remains that Crabtree sits out this week, and possibly next week.
