Golden Nuggets: Here come the Saints

Friday, November 15th, 2013 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sport

Good morning ladies and gents. Hopefully the stink of a loss has worn off by now and everyone is looking forward to Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. I personally am not looking forward to it, but that's because I've always been a huge fan of Drew Brees and ... he scares me. Brees is the best passer in the NFL, in my opinion, and the 49ers will have a very tough task at stopping him on Sunday.

My eternal pessimism aside, the 49ers aren't in a particularly poor place at this point. They're 6-3, and if they lose to the Saints, 6-4 isn't so bad either. They'll be in the playoffs this season regardless, and I doubt it will be at the head of the NFC West regardless. So I'm going to take shelter and weather the storm on Sunday.

But for those of you who aren't quite as pessimistic as I am, go ahead and read on for some 49ers links.
