The 49ers have suffered numerous injuries this season, and one of the tough ones came when nose tackle Ian Williams broke his ankle against the Seattle Seahawks. Glenn Dorsey has done a great job filling in for Williams, but the injury cost the 49ers some serious depth along the defensive line.
Williams was quickly placed on injured reserve, and will not return until next season. In the meantime, he is going through his rehab process to get back to 100 percent by the start of next season's offseason workout program. On Monday, Williams sent out this video on Instagram. He said it was the first time he was walking without the use of crutches. You can see he is wearing a walking boot and has a noticeable limp.
Best of luck to Ian as he battles back for next season. He was off to such a strong start. Having him and Dorsey together with Justin Smith and Ray McDonald would do some great things for this defense.
