Week 12 NFL picks against the spread

The San Francisco 49ers look to snap a two-game losing streak as they face Washington on Monday Night Football. The Week 12 matchup features two young quarterbacks with worlds of potential, but both are showing serious inconsistencies. Both teams have strong rushing attacks, but they are getting inconsistent performances from the passing game. The 49ers are getting less than Washington, but both have work to do.

The 49ers head into this game as a five point favorite. The line may change a little, but the oddsmakers appear content to try and push a little more money in on Washington. The 49ers have the defense alone to handle their business, but they need to get something going on offense. Washington's defense ranks poorly across the board. The question is whether or not they will simply overload the box and dare Colin Kaepernick to beat them with the pass. The question then is whether the 49ers will draw up the necessary pass plays, or simply try and impose their will in the run game. How will they call it?
