The San Francisco 49ers wrapped up their final day of practice on Saturday and will head east for Washington in just a bit. As we see each week, Jim Harbaugh had his end of week press conference. He had some praise for Tramaine Brock, but more importantly, he had a chance to address Michael Crabtree's status for Monday. Coach Harbaugh said Crabtree did some good things in practice this week, and he expected any activation decision to be made over the next 48 hours.
I remain skeptical that Crabtree will play on Monday, but Harbaugh could surprise me. I still think Crabtree will make his return to action next week against the St. Louis Rams. The team will be back at home, and not having to deal with the question marks that surround FedEx Field. The field was re-sodded, so we're hoping it's fine, but I think the team will play this conservatively.
