49ers depart for Washington, fan meetups planned in Arlington, D.C.

@49ers on Twitter

The San Francisco 49ers have officially departed from the Bay Area, and are en route to Washington, D.C. I'm pretty sure they're flying from San Jose International Airport to Baltimore/Washington International Airport. The 49ers social media team does some fun stuff when they travel on the road, tweeting out pictures and video of their departure. Down below you can see some of the pictures and video:

The 49ers will be playing on Monday, which leaves Sunday as a transition day. I know there are a lot of 49ers fans either in town or coming to town for the game, and it should be a good showing at FedEx Field. If you are in town or coming to town on Sunday, comedian Al Madrigal will be doing some standup at Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse. This is of note because Madrigal is from San Francisco and a big 49ers fan. I'm planning on heading over for it. Doors open at 6:30, and the show is scheduled to start at 7:30.

If you're unable to make it to Arlington, Matt Maiocco is having a meet-up at the President's Sports Bar in the Renaissance Hotel in downtown DC. I'll be in Arlington, but check that one out if you can't make it over.
