49ers claim most Monday Night Football wins in NFL history

The 49ers improved to 7-4 with their Monday Night Football win. We break down some of the notable performances with the help of the 49ers post-game notes.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The San Francisco 49ers took care of business on Monday Night Football, as they took control in the second half en route to a 27-6 victory. The win was the 49ers 44th victory on MNF, and improved their record to 44-25 on Monday nights. They snapped a tie with Dallas for most victories, and are currently second to Seattle in MNF win percentage.

The 49ers released their usual postgame notes detailing some of the bigger performances. Aldon Smith had two sacks to climb out of a tie with Chris Doleman for fifth place on the 49ers sack chart. He now has 40 career sacks, which is five behind Dwaine Board for fourth all time. Aldon's 40 sacks since the start of the 2011 season is one ahead of Jared Allen for most in the league during that stretch.

The 49ers continued to dominant when they force turnovers. The 49ers have forced 19 turnovers this season, and they have scored on every one of them. They have 11 touchdowns and 8 field goals, which is good for a league high 108 points off takeaways.
