Golden Nuggets: The strong can lose to the weak

Friday, December 12, 2013 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning ladies and gents. I hope you paid attention to yesterday's matchup between the San Diego Chargers and the Denver Broncos. That matchup showed that the best teams can lose to teams that ... aren't the best teams. Peyton Manning looked less than invincible and the Denver defense was suspect at the worst times. It's no secret that the Broncos are considered one of the top four teams in the NFL.

Personally, I'd feel good playing the Broncos in the Super Bowl. Not as good as playing the Baltimore Ravens, though, and look how that turned out. At any rate, I'm much more worried about the teams we'd play in the divisional and championship round in the NFC. Let's get to your linkage.
