The 10-4 San Francisco 49ers host the 4-10 Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football in heir Week 16 home finale. The 49ers are coming off a 33-14 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and are looking to win their fifth straight game. The Falcons have won two of their last three games, and are coming off a 27-26 win over Washington.

The 49ers-Falcons contest kicks off at 5:40 p.m. PT, showing up on ESPN in your channel guide. The game will be nationally broadcast, which is fitting for what is likely going to be the final game at Candlestick Park. As always, if you want to find a place to watch the game, check out our sports bar thread to find 49ers fans in your area.

The 49ers are now 14-point favorites against the Falcons. The line opened at 12, with some places having it as low as 10. Heavy money seems to be coming in on the 49ers, which makes sense given how poorly the Falcons have performed thus far. The Falcons have won two of three, but everything has gone wrong for them. Their run game is struggling, and their passing game has been sort of average lately. On the other side of the ball, their defense isn't doing much of anything. Even in their two recent wins, they've given up big points to inconsistent offenses.

The 49ers need a win tonight to maintain their current lead over the Saints in the wild card race. Beyond that, tonight is about the close of Candlestick Park. It's a dump of a stadium, but as the cliche goes, "It's our dump". The 49ers will celebrate the close of the stadium with various festivities. There will be a halftime tribute to The Catch as the No. 1 49ers moment in Candlestick Park history. They will also pay tribute to various former 49ers and Giants players at halftime. Before the game, the team will hand out glow sticks to fans for a post-game tribute. Hopefully ESPN is able to pick up some of the tribute.
