49ers vs. Cardinals inactives: Tight ends healthy, no surprises among inactives

The 49ers and Cardinals released their Week 17 inactives. We break down the notable names.

The San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals released their Week 17 inactives, and we don't have any surprises. The 49ers elected to go with 52 players today instead of 53. Mario Manningham was placed on injured reserve, so he does not appear on the list. The team could have activated a player, but since they were already going to activate Quinton Patton in Manningham's place, they'll wait until this coming week to figure out player No. 53.

The 49ers are back to relatively full health, which means the tight end trio of Vernon Davis, Vance McDonald and Garrett Celek will be out there. The Cardinals play tough against the run, so we'll see how much the 49ers move to their jumbo formations and force the action on the ground. Given some of the injuries in the Arizona secondary, maybe we see more of a pass-heavy attack in Week 17.

49ers inactives: TE Derek Carrier, LB Nick Moody, G Ryan Seymour, DT Quinton Dial, G Joe Looney and WR Jon Baldwin

Cardinals inactives: QB Ryan Lindley, S Curtis Taylor. RB Ryan Williams, LB Dontay Moch, OT Nate Potter, TE Kory Sperry, DE Ronald Talley
