Golden Nuggets: Staley Wants In, Harvin Still Out

Saturday, December 7, 2013 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

On the eve of the big NFC West match-up, both teams will be without key starters on offense. There's a strong likelihood that Mike Iupati will continue to miss games, although Joe Staley has every expectation of playing against the Seahawks. On the other side, Seattle will be without the services of Percy Harvin although it shouldn't affect them as much since they've gone most of the year without him. The loss of Iupati looms bigger since the 49ers will have a patchwork line again facing a very physical Seahawks defense. The O-line did hold their own against a strong Rams front in the previous game, but we all know that Seattle presents all sorts of match-up problems for the Niners. Hopefully, this line will be able to give Colin Kaepernick the time he needs to find his revamped receiving corps. I look forward to a hard fought victory in Candlestick Park tomorrow.
