Multiple sources are reporting that next Tuesday, World Wrestling Entertainment is going to hold a press conference to announce Levi's Stadium will host Wrestlemania 31 in 2015. Noted wrestling writer Dave Meltzer has also confirmed as much. Wrestlemania 31 will reportedly take place at Levi's Stadium, while the annual Hall of Fame ceremony and day after Monday Night RAW will take place at the SAP Center in San Jose.
I realize this isn't football news, but it's still interesting to consider. I was a huge wrestling fan as a kid. I lost interesting in the 90s, but then regained interest in the late 90s when I started college.
This marks the second notable non-49ers event to be booked at the stadium. The first non-49ers event will be a Major League Soccer match between the San Jose Earthquakes and Seattle Sounders FC on August 2, 2014. The 49ers are also submitting a bid for the 2017 college football national championship game.
