Anquan Boldin trade: New 49ers wide receiver responds, updates Twitter

We take a look at Anquan Boldin's response to the news he was traded to the 49ers.

Fooch's update: Mike Sando provided a few more Boldin quotations:

How do you feel about going from one Harbaugh to another?

Boldin: "You know, it's cool. Like I said, you know, to be where San Francisco is and was, you know, the team that we played in the Super Bowl, a team that's very close, a team that I feel like is on the cusp and hopefully I can go there and help them achieve the goals they have in mind."

If there was any question about the Anquan Boldin trade, it seems pretty much set. Thanks to a heads-up from friend of the site Sam Lam, you can check out Anquan Boldin's updated Twitter page:

While the deal was reported as done, I had a thought in the back of my head that Boldin might not be happy for some reason and maybe the deal gets hung up. That does not appear to be the case as Boldin is being a professional about the situation. Obviously he is coming to a good team, but trades are always jarring. Boldin told an ESPN producer he was initially surprised by the deal, as he did not expect to get dealt. I don't know if he figured he would be released or if he would get a deal done, but it is done either way.

He also tweeted about the deal this morning:

It's good to see that he is ready to move on and join the 49ers. He brings physicality and toughness to an already strong 49ers offense.
