NFL free agency is back for another day. We'll have plenty of news today, but I'd imagine things will slowly start to settle down. The 49ers will be fairly busy today, hosting Louis Delmas and Nnamdi Asomugha. Ed Reed could also come to town tomorrow or the next day, depending on how his visit with the Houston Texans pans out. It is definitely a secondary kind of day for the 49ers.
3:05 p.m. - In case you missed it, Mario Manningham restructured his contract.
1:15 p.m. - Steven Jackson to the Falcons. I've always been a big fan of his. I'm curious how he will compete with Jacquizz Rodgers. 49ers host the Falcons this season.
Another free-agent jolt: Rams free-agent RB Steven Jackson has reached agreement with the Atlanta Falcons.

1:03 p.m. - Never mind. Albert Breer tweeted out they are not in fact his agent. Whoops. But he is meeting with the 49ers.
12:55 p.m. - Louis Delmas' to the 49ers per his agent
#Lions Free Agent Safety Luis Delmas just signed by the #49ers

12:10 p.m. - Ricky Jean Francois is gone. Best of luck to PBJ man
Ricky Jean Francois agreed to a 4 year, $22 M deal with the Colts, per source.

10:50 a.m. - The 49ers had been connected with Sean Smith, but he's now off the market. I still think his agent was pushing the 49ers as a rumor in order to generate more interest.
Congratulations to #TeamDEC client @seansmith24 on agreeing to terms on a 3 year contract with the @kcchiefs

9:20 a.m. - It remains a fairly quiet morning. The biggest news is the Rams might be close to a deal with Jake Long. They are in need of some help on that line. Although Long has had some injury issues recently, if healthy he could bring help to that line.
Sounds like #Rams & OT Jake Long are hammering out a deal. Could have a resolution soon, barring any snags. They are OK with him medically

8:46 a.m. - In case you missed it earlier, the Texans sent a private jet to pick up Ed Reed. If he does not agree to a deal, he is likely visiting San Francisco next.
Wheels up! GM Rick Smith is on his way to pick up free agent S Ed Reed in #Texans chairman & CEO Bob McNair's private jet

8:05 a.m. - It would really be fitting to see Kolb end up with the Jets, right? He did show some signs early in the season. And he has to be better than Sanchez/Tebow/Garrard right?
If price is right, he'll be on Jets... and likely Week 1 starter RT @rapsheet Cardinals expect to cut QB Kevin Kolb over next few days #nyj

7:45 a.m. - Take this for what it's worth.
A texter to @957thegame says he just saw Charles Woodson at SFO, leaving town.
— Dan Dibley (@dandibley) March 14, 2013
7:40 a.m. - This is not at all surprising. I figured it was agent chatter trying to drum up interest.
49ers are not involved in competition to sign Dolphins cornerback Sean Smith, source says.

7:37 a.m. - How long till the Cardinals snatch him up? I can't wait for Matt Cassel vs. Drew Stanton, QB BATTLE!
#Chiefs have released QB Matt Cassel

6:30 a.m. - Speaking of secondary, the Sean Smith market has kind of quieted down.
Eagles are out of the running for Sean Smith, per source.

The 49ers were connected with Smith during the negotiation period, but we really haven't heard anything of significance since. I still think the Smith rumors were his agent trying to boost the market. We'll see if anything comes of those rumors in the coming days. Considering how many defensive backs the 49ers are bringing in, you'd think something would happen soon if Smith really was on their radar.
The biggest names remaining on the market are guys like Jake Long, Ed Reed, Dwight Freeney and Greg Jennings. As the 49ers move through the secondary market, it will be interesting to see where they move next. Kicker remains an issue, but the 49ers do not seem to be in any rush to get that going.
Check back for updates throughout the day. If you spend much of your day in here, make sure and click refresh every so often as I'll be posting tweets and whatnot in here all day as warranted.
