Golden Nuggets: Pat White ... sure, why not?

Tuesday, March 26, 2012 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Ed Szczepanski-US PRESSWIRE

Good morning ladies and gents. Guess what's going on with the San Francisco 49ers? A whole, fat lot of nothing at this point. Free agency is basically over with and now we've got a month until the 2013 NFL Draft. Don't know about ya'll, but this is basically my least favorite part of the offseason, save for that period of time just after the end of the season where I realize just how far away the next game is.

I guess the "big" news right now is San Francisco's reported interest in quarterback Pat White. That guy faded into obscurity so fast that I actually had to look up who he was before it all came flooding back to me. Personally, I see nothing of value there and think of this as a somewhat silly signing. I can't imagine what it's motivated by but hey, at least he wouldn't be starting.

Onto the links for the day, children.
