Good morning folks. As we all expected, Dashon Goldson was not given the franchise tag at the deadline yesterday. Honestly, I'm not really sure how I feel about Goldson. His 2011 season had some huge plays, but also some incredibly bad ones. But last season, he seemed to make less of the big plays, but also allowed fewer horrible plays his way, as well.
So there's bad and there's good. Personally, I've never been a fan of his personality, but that's an entirely different thing. I guess, at the end of the day, I'd love for the 49ers to bring him back, but I don't think he deserves absolute top safety money nor should the 49ers invest a huge amount of money into him over the course of several years.
I guess at this point I'm in full on "whatever happens, happens" mode when it comes to Goldson. Anyway, let's get to the links for the day.
