The San Francisco 49ers hosted various Bay Area city politicians at the construction site of their new stadium to provide an update on the construction and the region's Super Bowl bid. San Francisco and Santa Clara are working together to bid on Super Bowl L, which will take place in 2016, following the 2015 season. San Francisco will be the "host city", but obviously the game itself would take place down in Santa Clara.
NBC Bay Area had some video of the event. If you have problems with the video above, there is a link at the top that will take you to the NBC Bay Area video page. The video is not coming up, so head HERE to watch it. The video is a general news round-up with a few sound bites.
Fooch's Note: We'll have an open thread a little later tonight when the free agency negotiation period kicks off at 9:00 p.m. PT. We'll get the open thread up between 8 and 9 p.m.
