Golden Nuggets: Lawrence Okoye would definitely be a '49ers signing'

Saturday, April 13, 2013 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the web.

Stu Forster

The more that I read about Lawrence Okoye, he of London Olympics fame, the more I like what I see. Obviously, a lot of clubs are apparently interested in his services, but I wouldn't pay him anything more than the minimum contract in the NFL. Still, he's an intriguing prospect who ... wasn't a prospect at all just a short time ago.

Seems like the perfect kind of signing for our San Francisco 49ers and I gotta say, I love what I'm hearing about this guy's toughness. I don't subscribe to the line of thinking that puts Rugby as 10 times more ... manly than American football, but the dude played one of the most physically demanding positions and is built like a tank. Would love to see more.

Anyway, you won't be seeing much of me over the next 10 days as I head off for vacation. But for now, here's some links. Enjoy, ya'll!
