Eric Branch got the big scoop today with this tweet:
Agent for #49ers Demarcus Dobbs (ACL) said DT is "well ahead of schedule" in rehab. No word on if he'll be ready for training camp.

Somebody followed up with a very pertinent question:
RT @cochranecbcnl: has any agent anywhere ever said a client was behind schedule in rehab? << Yes. It was Red Grange's agent, I believe.

I would be surprised if an agent has ever said his player is behind on his rehab.
Assuming Dobbs is healthy by the start of training camp, I'm curious to see what kind of work he gets at defensive end during the preseason. The team added Glenn Dorsey, and while he will get time at nose tackle, I have to think he gets a lot of time on the end as well during the preseason.
Assuming he is healthy in time for training camp, can Dobbs develop into anything more than a backup lineman and special teamer?
