Fooch's Note: The 49ers made it official.
Matt Maiocco is reporting that fullback/tight end Jason Schepler has agreed to a contract with the 49ers. Maiocco listed Schepler as a fullback, but I've seen him listed elsewhere as a tight end, thus the dual designation. My guess is he will be working out in an H-back type of role. One of his primary competitors would be fellow undrafted free agent MarQueis Gray.
The more notable part of this information is that assuming the deal goes official, Schepler would be the 90th player on the 49ers roster. The team is allowed a maximum of 90 players heading into training camp. They could still decide to release somebody, but more than likely this is your roster heading into training camp.
