The big news of the day was the potential addition of former Browns and Jets head coach Eric Mangini to the 49ers staff in a consultant role. Nothing has been finalized, but Mangini has a lifetime 33-47 record with the two teams, hardly a stellar resume as a HC. We should all keep in mind that he was considered one of the hottest minds in football when hired by the Jets. Things didn't pan out. He then became one of the most criticized head coach hirings when the Browns brought him on and was fired after consecutive 5-11 seasons. It can't hurt to have another experienced football brain to pick.
The other news of the day...
I'm going to have a baby. Well, not me....the misses. It's due in November and we just went in for the first ultrasound today. Exciting stuff.
