49ers preseason to remain on KPIX 5

The 49ers announced an extension of their contract with KPIX to broadcast preseason games. What are you looking forward to in the preseason?

Kirby Lee-US PRESSWIRE

Last month, the NFL announced the 2013 preseason schedule, and the 49ers sent along further details, including television stations. The 49ers will be on national television in Week 3 when they host the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football. The remaining three games are on the tradition KPIX broadcast on channel 5. In a fitting bit of timing, the 49ers have announced a ten-year extension with KPIX through the 2023 season.

The KPIX broadcast features Dennis O'Donnell and Tim Ryan, but the deal also includes Jim Harbaugh's press conferences the day after 49ers games. As Bay Area Sports Guy pointed out, CSN Bay Area had previously carried the press conferences, and provided a live stream online. That was always convenient for people outside the Bay Area.

As the 49ers get ready for their preseason, BASG pointed to a few pertinent questions people will consider as they watch the exciting world of preseason football. There will be plenty of questions when the preseason gets here, and really you could raise something about most members of the team. Beyond what BASG pointed out, I'd imagine folks will be looking at how the team uses Joe Looney, where Demarcus Dobbs gets work within the defensive end depth chart and where Chris Culliver finds himself in the 49ers cornerback depth chart.

How much preseason action do you watch? If you're outside the Bay Area, the NFL offers NFL Preseason Live, which allows you to watch all preseason action. Will you purchase that? I realize it is only early May, but what questions have you most interested as we head toward the preseason?
