Colin Kaepernick makes appearance at Pitman High School graduation

49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick made an appearance at his former high school's graduation. And the crowd went wild...

Thursday night was an entertaining one for graduates of Pitman High School in Turlock, CA. During the ceremony, 49ers quarterback and Pitman alum Colin Kaepernick made a surprise appearance. The appearance was relatively quick, and the video above catches a good chunk of it.

Two teachers were retiring, including one of Kaepernick's former football coaches, Brandon Harris. According to the Modesto Bee, Kaepernick was on video initially but then came out onstage in person.

"I had to come back to say goodbye to two of my favorite teachers and also congratulate the graduates," he said. "I'm saying goodbye to one of my good friends and best coaches. I have a lot of great memories with him."

Naturally, the crowd went crazy. Cam Inman compiled numerous tweets that showed up in the minutes after Kap showed up on stage.
