On the first day of minicamp last week, CSN Bay Area's Mindi Bach put together some video of the running backs and linebackers. Last night, she uploaded some additional video of the running backs at quarterbacks. I figured I would drop them in here with some basic explanations. You can check out more of her video at her YouTube page.
This first video shows running backs coach Tom Rathman working with LaMichael James, Jewel Hampton, D.J. Harper and Anthony Dixon. They are working the blocking sled.
This second video features some more block sled work, led by fullback Bruce Miller.
This third video features the quarterbacks throwing some passes.
This fourth video features a closer view of the quarterbacks throwing routes to Anquan Boldin, Chad Hall, Chuck Jacobs, Kassim Osgood and Vernon Davis.
This fifth video features some basic hand-off drills, with Bruce Miller and Anthony Dixon handling fullback duties for two of the backs.
This sixth video features the quarterbacks running some pistol work. We see Scott Tolzien first, and then Colin Kaepernick. When Kap runs his play, the running back behind him is QB B.J. Daniels, who is getting a lot of work all over the field.
This final video features Colin Kaepernick running a pair of plays. He hands off to a running back and then cuts over, has a ball pitched to him and throws a pass into the end zone.
