I'm a little late to the party on this one, but I figured people would still be interested. The NFL offseason is officially in full swing, with players off doing their own thing until training camp starts late next month. Such downtime provides players with an opportunity to do a little bit of whatever. This can be some combination of working out, studying the playbook, running your youth football camp and taking trips with the family.
Anthony Davis found something else to do with his time. He gave away a dog on Twitter!
Anybody want a 4month old English Bulldog puppy? Free. Just don't be mean to him.

You've gotta be in the Bay Area & can pick him up from San Jose today.

He found a good home. His new dad is a bad ass.

There is no word on who got the dog, although Jon Becker of the Oakland Tribune provided quite a few of the tweets Davis got in response. It is also worth noting that apparently Kendrick Perkins of the Oklahoma City Thunder sold his dog on Twitter last week. Davis apparently just gave his away.
We really have reached the dog days of summer in the NFL. This story joins Matt Maiocco talking about a Jim Harbaugh-Pete Carroll wrestling match, and our own article about Alex Boone having a rhino named after him at the San Francisco Zoo. Can the stories get any more odd this offseason? I'm not sure it's wise to throw out that challenge!
