Percy Harvin placed on Active/PUP list with possible labrum tear [updated]

The Seattle Seahawks placed Percy Harvin on the Active/PUP list to start training camp. What does it mean for the 49ers NFC West rival?

Fooch's Update: We have to wait for the second opinion, but this certainly can't be good (for the Seahawks):

_______
The Seattle Seahawks find themselves in a bit of a tricky situation as they have placed recently acquired wide receiver Percy Harvin on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list to start training camp. Ian Rapoport reported that a source indicated Harvin may have a slight tear in his labrum (hip). He is getting a second opinion early next week. At that point, the team will have a better idea of how long Harvin might sit out.

The team can take him off the list at any point, but there is some worry he might need surgery on the tear. Without the second opinion it's mostly just speculation, but it is something to keep an eye on over the next few weeks. The 49ers placed Kyle Williams and Darius Fleming on the PUP list, and were quick to remove them before today's first practice.

Harvin will not come off until next week at the earliest, so we'll just have to wait and see. The 49ers and Seahawks face off in Week 2, and while I fully expect Harvin back by then, if surgery is required, it is entirely possible he could miss that game.

We'll have plenty more on this as we here more in the coming days.
