So the San Francisco 49ers locked up their 2013 NFL Draft class with the signing of first-round pick Eric Reid on Friday. Obviously, with the new collective bargaining agreement, these things are of little actual concern in regards to getting done, as there is now a wage scale in place. That said, it just feels a lot better with everyone under contract and ready to go.
I have high expectations for Reid. He wasn't my first choice at the safety position when it comes to the rookies, but I always thought Dashon Goldson was a little overrated and the 49ers picked the absolute best time to draft his replacement. Last year's draft was the strongest safety class in years, and Reid has as good a chance as anybody to excel and live up to that particular hype.
On to the links for the day.
