Golden Nuggets: Figuring out the corners and wide receivers

Tuesday, August 13, 2013 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Ed Szczepanski-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning everyone. Still getting settled over here in California but at least I'm relatively caught up on San Francisco 49ers news at this point. I was talking to some friends about my expectations for the 49ers today and honestly, I didn't know what to say. This team will obviously be a good team, but the issues at cornerback and wide receiver are pretty sizable. I don't know how they're going to shake up.

I do hope Eric Wright doesn't have to serve a lengthy suspension or anything along those lines, because I think he is definitely good enough to start, possibly pushing Carlos Rogers out of a job. If Wright can play well enough opposite Tarell Brown, then the 49ers will be in good shape there, but the receiver position still scares me.
