Golden Nuggets: Welcome, Jon Baldwin

Wednesday, August 21, 2013 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning everyone. Aaron needed today's Golden Nuggets off, so I gave him yesterday's and didn't get to rant and rave about the A.J. Jenkins trade. I did end up voicing my thoughts when I told everyone to back off of Trent Baalke, but I do want to say that I am genuinely happy to see Jon Baldwin join the San Francisco 49ers.

I said this in the post yesterday, but I would much rather have someone who flamed out while playing with an organization as unstable as the current Kansas City Chiefs than someone who failed to cause even a slight impression with one of the most stable and well-managed organizations in pro football. So this is a positive move for the 49ers, even if Baldwin doesn't work out.

Anyway, let's jump right into your links for the day, shall we?
