Golden Nuggets: QB competition heats up

Saturday, August 24th, 2013 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

Hello ladies and gents. I'm a huge idiot and I dropped my laptop yesterday, breaking it. So I'm going to have to do the Golden Nuggets rather quick-like tonight, because I hate my fiancee's laptop with a fiery passion. I hate it almost as much as I hate Pete Carroll's face. That's how much it sucks. I should drop this one next time.

Anyway, as far as what's happening in 49erland ... there's not a whole lot right now. It's all about Seneca Wallace coming in and making the backup quarterback situation interesting. I personally hope he can light a fire under Colt McCoy, who has been seriously disappointing for me.

If I miss any links in my haste, please leave them in the comments for your fellow reader. I might miss a few CSN Bay Area links because I don't have all of my script-blocking extensions installed on this computer and auto-playing video and audio is like launching a cruise missile of hatred upon readers. Onto the links
