Golden Nuggets: Farewell, Parys Haralson

Monday, August 26, 2013 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Thearon W. Henderson

Good morning ladies and gents. It looks like the San Francisco 49ers traded outside linebacker Parys Haralson to the New Orleans Saints, though further confirmation is still required and, of course, we have no idea as to the compensation. Personally, I like the move regardless, mostly because I firmly believe Haralson has the chops and deserves to start. The Saints are as good a team as any for him to ply his trade.

On the other hand, the 49ers are losing the best backup outside linebacker in the NFL. He's better than Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks at certain things and likely would have found his way onto the field this season. That said, trading him was the right thing to do.

We're going to jump right into your links for the day. Enjoy.
