Golden Nuggets: No more injuries, please

Saturday, August 31, 2013 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the web.

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODA

Good morning everyone. So it looks like quarterback Seneca Wallace isn't actually retiring. As it turns out, he just didn't want to be the last quarterback to play on Thursday, which to me is just hilarious. Wallace isn't entitled to anything in this league, and if he doesn't want to earn his spot then good riddance.

Maybe that's being too harsh but playing for the San Francisco 49ers is a privilege and if he turns his nose up at it then that's his prerogative. Let's put it behind us and concentrate on more important matters: LaMichael James is hurt. That sucks. He should be back in three to four weeks but you definitely hate to see it, even if you happen to think Kendall Hunter should be the primary backup ... like I do.

Anyway, onto the links and such.
