The San Francisco 49ers head up to the Pacific Northwest this weekend to face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football, and we can expect quite the loud atmosphere. Century Link Field has pushed itself as one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL, and fans will be going the extra mile on Sunday.
As we first discussed back in early July, a Seahawks fan group has submitted an application to the Guinness Book of World Records to try and set the record for the loudest crowd ever. A Turkish soccer match currently holds the record with a decibel level of 131.76. That's kind of loud.
The 49ers will need to figure out their play-calling and execution of the snap this week. We saw the team struggle at times in Week 1, and that was at home. The Seattle crowd will only make that more difficult. The team will need to figure out ways to get the play in quickly, have some kind of system in place if Kap is having any struggles hearing the calls, and of course, figure out how the 11 players of the offense will communicate effectively in the huddle.
