49ers vs Seahawks
Some of the more cynical among us thought that the reason B.J. Daniels was drafted was to simulate Russell Wilson in practice while we prepared for the Seahawks. | Catch me if you can: 49ers have new way to prepare for Russell Wilson (Barrows)
Here's the same story, but with a B.J. Daniels interview. | B.J. Daniels to Simulate Russell Wilson (49ers.com)
I think this article is fairly silly. I mean, what else can you say about a man who basically matched our No. 2 receivers' production for all of 2012 in a single game (sorry Kyle Williams). So, yeah, I guess I agree that Anquan Boldin will be a factor against the Seahawks. A good piece on the man if you still can't get enough. | Anquan Boldin Could be X Factor in Seattle (NBC)
Of all the Seahawks, Russell Wilson is the only one I don't mind. I like Marshawn Lynch's running style and his run against the Saints in the playoffs will always rank among the greatest in my mind. But, don't get in that car and drive, Marshawn! As for Wilson, I hope he doesn't like his eyebrow. | Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson make bet for Sunday's game (SF Gate)
The Sacramento Bee has published this piece from the Seattle Times. It feels like spying... | Seahawks push for improvement up front (Sac Bee)
And this one from Sam Farmer from the LA Times. He seems to cover the 49ers like they were a local team. | Seahawks fans aim to be volume dealers with 49ers in town (Sac Bee)

49ers @ Seahawks average ticket price: $487 (average ‘get-in' price is $204) (BASG)
Dobbs for Tukuafu
It seemed like Will Tukuafu would be the logical choice to be replaced when Demarcus Dobbs returned from his one game suspension. It'll be good to get Dobbs into the rotation. I also assume Tukuafu will be receiving a phone call from the Seahawks. | 49ers waive Tukaufu to make room for DT Dobbs (Branch)
And the official website's take on the situation. | 49ers Activate Dobbs; Tukuafu Waived/Injured (49ers.com)

49ers vs Packers - Lingering Business
I was very happy with Eric Reid's performance in Week 1. It wasn't perfect, but against Aaron Rodgers, in my mind the best QB in the league, he got the job done. He also laid the wood without getting a 15-yard penalty, something his predecessor had trouble with. | Reid steps up for positive debut at free safety (Inman)
Who likes GIFs. Here's a bunch of 'em from the weekend, including Eric Reid laying the smack down and Donte Whitner dragging Jermichael Finley away from a reception. How good was Whitner on Sunday? He's received plenty of flack (some from me), but he played a heads up, veteran game, starting next to a rookie and they held up well against one of the best passing attacks in the game. | Red and Gold-en GIFs: Week 1 vs Green Bay - Defense Edition (BASG)
What else can you say when you're on the punk end of this situation. You threatened cheap shots, delivered them, threw a slap when called on it and lost the game. It's not called staying above someone, it's called shutting the $&#* up. | McCarthy: Packers 'stay above' responding to Harbaugh's comments (Maiocco)
BASG is working overtime giving you more to think about in regards to our Week 1 victory over Aaron Rodgers and the Pack. Rodgers still hasn't donned the 49ers shirt. He has to wear, like, three of them now. Or a 49ers snuggie, some red and & gold Nike Cortez and a Niners Santa hat. Oh, BA Stats Guy looks at Jim Harbaugh's 4th down decisions in more detail. | Examining Harbaugh's fourth down decisions (BASG)

Other Stuff
Eric Branch takes a look at what Colin Kaepernick did and what Alex Smith did on the weekend. It's like comparing apples and apples. But one's a sweet and tasty Fuji apple that scores a lot of points. And the other is a golden delicious. Maybe you could bake that in a pie or something. | Quick-Strike Colin: Kaepernick's big-play ability has transformed offense (Branch)
