Great weekend to you all. As you can see, there is a not-so-familiar name on the Nuggets byline today so let me quickly remedy that. My name is Joel Reyes (a.k.a. 10man) and I have been brought aboard to help out with the Nuggets. I live half a world away in the sometimes hot, sometimes rainy metropolis of Manila (say it like Vanilla but spell it with only one 'L' please) in the Philippines. The funny thing is I did a lot of my growing up in the Bay Area (Concord, CA to be exact) so Ninermania was infused into my blood very early on.
My love for the Niners eclipses only my love for great films. In the movie "Sleepless in Seattle" one of the characters mentions that "it rains nine months a year in Seattle", and that is exactly what I want to see tomorrow. Seahawks fans are trying to set a world record for noise so it's only right that the 49ers rain on their parade. I want to see a downpour of Kaepernick completions drenching the enemy secondary and a flood of hard-nosed runs by Gore and the boys. But before I run out of meteorological metaphors, let's get to those links!
Gameday Eve News

One of the key things the defense looks to improve on from the Green Bay game is tackling. Harbaugh noted that they were not pleased with their perfomance at all and the team will have to step it up especially against Marshawn Lynch. | 49ers look to improve tackling as Seahawks Loom (Yahoo/AP)
ESPN's game preview focuses on the back and forth "chirping" between the two teams. | 49ers-Seahawks Preview (ESPN)
Beyond the Game
Batman needs the Joker, Superman needs Lex Luthor, Spiderman needs the Goblin and yes... | Jim Harbaugh needs Pete Carroll (Kawakami)
Bill Barnwell looks back at how the rise of the 49ers has led the NFC West from being the worst to the best division in the NFL. | How the West Was Won (Grantland)

In this article Adam Schefter relates how the NFL's CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) actually aided Trent Baalke in building the current Niners roster. | 49ers, Seahawks benefit from CBA (Schefter/ESPN)
Because of their week 1 performance, both Colin Kaepernick and Anquan Boldin get a boost in their Madden ratings, but check out that virtual-Kaepernick photo because it looks nothing like him! | Madden Ratings: Week 1 analysis, Week 2 predictions (NFL)
