We're a little bit closer to the 49ers-Seahawks Sunday Night Football game, but we've still got the 1 p.m. games to get through. Time just drags forever sometimes!
The AM session of games saw some interesting results. The Falcons defeated the Rams, although the Rams gave them a fight in the second half. The loss drops St. Louis to 1-1. The Chiefs are leading 17-16 and with a pass interference call, that will just about do it. They improve to 2-0, getting them a little bit closer to the eight wins the 49ers need them to win to bump the 2014 third round pick into a second.
The afternoon session features some fun games. The most notable for the 49ers is the Cardinals hosting the Lions. The Cardinals blew a late lead against the Rams in Week 1, giving up 14 unanswered points to lose 27-24. That being said, I think the Cardinals are still dangerous with Carson Palmer back there. They have a dangerous group of wide receivers behind Larry Fitzgerald, and will be a tough out each week.
The national game of note is of course Broncos vs. Giants, with Peyton Manning and Eli Manning squaring off. This should be a really fun game as both offenses can get it going in the pass game.
We'll be back with 49ers-Seahawks inactives at around 4 p.m. PT, and then the first quarter game thread not too long afterward.
