The San Francisco 49ers suffered a handful of injuries on Sunday, and we're slowly getting some more details. Vic Fangio was on KNBR Tuesday morning, and provided an update on the defensive side of the ball. H/T to Matt Barrows for transcribing it.

According to Fangio, this is very much a wait-and-see situation with both Ray McDonald and Eric Reid. McDonald suffered a sprained ankle, while Eric Reid suffered a concussion. On Monday, Jim Harbaugh did not have an update on McDonald, but he did inform the media that Reid was asymptomatic the day after the game.

Fangio made a good point in stating that Alex Smith was asymptomatic shortly after his concussion, but symptoms crept back up the day before the 49ers next game. It sounds like if Reid gets through the whole week without further symptoms, he would be good to go for Sunday's game with the Colts. We'll just have to keep an eye on it throughout the week.

As for McDonald, Fangio thought he would be alright, but still felt like it was a fluid situation. I suspect he might miss a little practice this week, or at the very least be limited over the next few days. The 49ers release their first practice participation report Wednesday afternoon.
