Good morning everyone. How is everything? It's been a bum week. This will continue to be a bum week until we beat the pants off of the Colts this weekend and I won't be fully over it until we exact some sort of revenge on the Seahawks later this year. Luckily we have a chance to redeem ourselves.
I'm sure by now that you've noticed there are some new Nuggeteers. They're helping out. I'm ever grateful. James has also big picking up shifts, so big thanks to Joel, Charlie and Ninjames.
I have to be honest...I haven't even watched the Seahawks game. I don't think I'm going to. Should I? The games happen while I'm at work here in Oz, and I've made it a point to watch them all, even the losses. After everything I've read about it, I just don't know if I can bring myself to do it. I haven't yet. It may hinder my ability to write about it, but..... (audible sigh).

Roster Moves
It's been no secret that Coach Harbaugh loves him some Owen Marecic. Since the Browns released him on the cut down to 53, there have been rumors linking the former Stanford player with the 49ers. Now we can put the rumors behind us. | Together at last: 49ers sign Harbaugh favorite, Owen Marecic (Barrows)
And with the Marecic signing, it's become official...Ian Williams has been moved to IR. It was supposed to be such a promising season for the young nose tackle. I'm glad we have Glenn Dorsey, but we may need some more depth. | Report: 49ers sign Owen Marecic, place Ian Williams on injured reserve (Gin)
And speaking of depth...could the other Quinton, Quinton Dial, be able to help us out up front? He's got a lot of ground to make up when he gets healthy. A playoff push would be a difficult time to get your feet wet. | 49ers injury updates: Dial could be backup NT late this season (Maiocco)
49ers try out DT Kyle Love (ESPN)
What's Wrong With the 49ers Stories
BASG discusses the 49ers' nickel back situation. Nnamdi Asomugha has taken over for Chris Culliver and he's been less than stellar. Might Eric Wright eat into his playing time when he's able to play? | 49ers miss Chris Culliver because Nnamdi Asomugha keeps missing tackles (BASG)
Ruthless breaks down Frank Gore's subpar performances in the first two weeks of the season. It's been a little bit of Frank Gore and a lotta bit of the offensive line playing like the mid-2000's version of a 49ers O-line. | What's going on with Frank Gore? (BASG)
This is probably the main reason why I don't want to watch the Seattle game. I can handle the 49ers playing decently and losing to a good team. I can't handle them shooting themselves in the foot. | Along with game, 49ers lost composure in Seattle (Branch)
Penalties are a Warning Flag for 49ers (NBC)
49ers flaws were exposed and the rest of the league was watching (Cohn)
People Speak
Mike Iupati was graded very poorly in this one. He's got to bounce back, the whole offensive line, the whole offense. | Iupati determined to rebound from bad outing in Seattle: ‘It's a lesson learned' (Inman)
This is a relief. Although I don't know if tweets count as speaking. #WhatDoYouConsiderSpeaking? | Davis tweets not to worry about his hamstring (Inman)
Vic Fangio on KNBR (49ers.com)
Vance McDonald: "My first mentality always is to run over anyone who gets in the way." (Cohn - Transcript)
Bruce Miller: "It was just those little things that killed us. I think it was more of us than them." (Cohn - Transcript)
Owen Marecic: "I'm looking forward to finding a way to contribute." (Cohn - Transcript)
Other News
Let us not forget that during the Harbaugh era, after each of our losses (and that one stupid tie), we've followed up with a win. The defense has been dominant in those revenge outings. I almost feel sorry for Andrew Luck and the Colts. Oscar from the 49erswebzone podcast predicted them to regress and it looks like it's coming true. They're hopefully in for a pounding! | 49ers foundation: Defense has steadied the ship after the 7 losses and 1 tie in the Harbaugh/Fangio era (Kawakami)
Some reading for you 49ers fans. | Three new books that 49ers, NFL fans should go buy (Inman)
Power Rankings: No. 3 San Francisco 49ers (ESPN)
Kaepernick fulfills eyebrow bet with Russell Wilson (SF Gate)
