The San Francisco 49ers and Indianapolis Colts released their first practice participation reports of the week, and the most notable news is Eric Reid was listed as limited. He has been recovering from a concussion suffered on Sunday against the Seahawks. He was asymptomatic on Monday, and Coach Harbaugh informed the media that he was still asymptomatic heading into Wednesday. Reid was wearing a blue non-contact jersey.
The 49ers will continue to play it day-by-day with Reid, as concussion symptoms could still potentially pop up. If he is not experiencing symptoms 90 minutes before the game on Sunday, you have to think he'll be active for the game.
Vernon Davis, Ray McDonald and Justin Smith all sat out practice today. Justin Smith was spotted near the weight room, but he is listed with a shoulder injury.
Colin Kaepernick was listed as "full participant" with a foot issue. He seemed fine on Sunday, so for now this would seem mostly just a precautionary listing. That, and maybe the team figures they can try and throw off the Colts a little bit with this status.
