The San Francisco 49ers and St. Louis Rams are only a day removed from their Week 3 games, but they are already back at practice for Thursday Night Football. Both teams released their first injury report of the week.
The 49ers went from relatively healthy a couple weeks ago, to pretty banged up, in a hurry. We already knew about Willis' groin injury. Nnamdi suffered a knee injury late in the game, while Ventrone suffered a concussion early on. JIm Harbaugh informed the media that Nnamdi was getting an MRI today, so we'll see what that means. If he is unable to go on Thursday, Tramaine Brock could find himself back in the defensive playing time picture.
The most notable name not appearing is running back LaMichael James. After spraining his MCL in the preseason finale, he is finally back to practice. He was limited last week, but Monday he did not appear on the injury report. Now the question is what the 49ers plan on doing with him against the Rams, and beyond.
